Updated 2009: Comments are now entirely shut down. Was having to manage upwards of 100 spam posts a day. As the morons see that their feeble attempts to register in order to “post” is for nothing, I hope they will eventually go away. It is working. Currently, I get 2 or 3 attempts per week, instead of hundreds and hundreds. Hopefully, I can turn off the absolutely no commenting soon and go back to moderation and, finally, no moderation.***

Moved to Germany a few years back after marrying a German fellow. I’m in my 50s and retired. I love reading, crocheting, knitting (well trying to love that, it’s just a crush at the moment. 2008-It’s official. We’re going steady now. ) and gaming.

I ramble on and here’s where I’ll do so. Language happens occasionally. Sorry in advance but that’s just how it comes out sometimes.

I’m curmudgeonly. So take me with a grain of salt. It’s just easier that way.

Decided to add the following as sort of a caveat:

I am writing this for me. It’s meant to be a record of what I do, learn, find and, hopefully, how I grow, adjust and meet whatever challenges life tosses my way. Now I’ll be thrilled if someone reads and learns or is amused or interested. No doubt. That would be icing on the cake. But I will whinge, I will rale against circumstances or situations because that’s how I blow off steam and attempt to keep my sanity. Probably won’t make for the most interesting blog and doubtful this’ll ever be one of those “must read” blogs but that’s okay because the “doing” is the thing, for me. Anything else that comes from it will be an even better thing.

And yes, I do disappear for long periods of time. My GAD gets the better of me and rather than whinge, bitch, whine and make an ass of myself publicly, I just shut up.
